Principal's Message
As principal, I extend greetings from Ardmore Elementary School. The faculty, staff and I are working as a team to continue the fine tradition of academic excellence that is the hallmark of our school. Parents, community members and Lakeview District personnel are providing support as well, ensuring that the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students are met.
Ardmore School has made Annual Yearly Progress for many years, and has received a grade of “A” on the Ed Yes! Report Card for two years. Additionally, Ardmore is NCA accredited, as is the entire Lakeview Public School District. Our aim is to keep our school aligned with the Lakeview District Strategic Plan, which also supports the aim of No Child Left Behind, assuring that all children receive an excellent education.
In addition to the core academic subjects, Ardmore offers general music, band, orchestra, art and physical education. Counseling services are provided as well as specialized reading instruction, special education resource services, and media / library opportunities. The Ardmore PTO sponsors fundraising opportunities to provide student and family-friendly activities, as well as educational support. Student organizations, such as Student Council, Peer Mediation, Scouts and Studio 20 provide leadership opportunities for students.
The school building has been renovated with bond funds, providing new flooring throughout, white boards for the classrooms, security upgrades and new technology. The gleaming school provides a happy, safe learning environment.
We welcome community members who are interested in volunteering to contact the school. There are many opportunities to mentor youngsters in reading and math, or other subjects of interest.
We are looking forward to a great year!
