Meet Our Principal – Christopher Hahn
Q: How long have you been the principal at Ardmore?
This is my 12th year as Ardmore’s principal, and I’m honored to lead such a dedicated and caring school community.
Q: What is your background in education?
I began my career at South Lake, the district where I graduated from, as a sixth-grade teacher and then as a curriculum specialist. I later taught math at JMS and served as a math specialist at Princeton and Harmon in Lakeveiw before joining Ardmore. These experiences have shaped my belief in strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and teamwork.
Q: What is your vision for Ardmore?
I want every student to feel safe, valued, and challenged. We focus on academic excellence through proven practices like the Science of Reading and our new math curriculum, while also fostering the pillars of respect, responsibility, resilience, and safety.
Q: How do you support student success?
Through great teachers and staff, solid instructional practices and through a systems focus with MTSS and PBIS. We provide both academic and behavioral supports, celebrate progress, and help students learn from challenges.
Q: What makes Ardmore special?
The people. Our staff, families, and students work together to create a welcoming, energetic environment where learning and kindness go hand in hand.
Q: Do you have a personal connection to Ardmore?
Yes! My two children are proud Ardmore Huskies, giving me the privilege of seeing our school as both a principal and a parent.
Q: Favorite part of the job?
Watching students light up when they accomplish something they’ve worked hard for – those moments remind me why we’re here.
